The Pokémon Company International has officially announced plans to establish its first permanent physical retail location outside of Asia. This new store is scheduled to open its doors in London in 2029.
This development follows a previous temporary initiative in the city. Between October 18 and November 15, 2019, a pop-up Pokémon Center London was hosted at the Westfield London shopping center in Shepherd’s Bush to coincide with the launch of Pokémon Sword and Shield.
Gaku Susai, Chief Product and Experience Officer, stated that the company aims to provide unique experiences for fans. The goal is to create a space where both newcomers and long-time trainers can feel a sense of community and engage with the brand in new ways.
Specific details regarding the store's classification remain unconfirmed. It is currently unclear whether the facility will operate as a full-scale Pokémon Center or a smaller Pokémon Store, leaving the final scope of the project to be determined.
