During the Muv-Luv Presents 2026 broadcast on October 22, it was announced that the adventure game series Schwarzesmarken is heading to the Steam platform.
The release will include both Schwarzesmarken: The Crest of Red Blood and Schwarzesmarken: Martyrs simultaneously. Specific launch dates and further details regarding these titles remain forthcoming.
Based on a novel series, the games were originally released in two parts: the 2015 prequel The Crest of Red Blood and the 2016 sequel Martyrs. The franchise also received a television anime adaptation in 2016.
Set in 1983 East Germany, 18 years before the events of Muv-Luv Alternative, the story follows Second Lieutenant Theodor Eberbach. As a young soldier in a surveillance state, he struggles with survival and a lack of faith in his nation until he encounters themes of hope and despair.
