Developer Aauo Uguzu Pegi and publisher Sano Gumi released the Steam version of the visual novel Yumemiru Sakura no Sotsugyoshiki on October 22. The game centers on three friends: the shy Sakura, the popular Shion, and the cheerful Hina.
Players navigate the story by choosing which friend Sakura speaks to first, which alters dialogue and reveals different perspectives on their relationships. While initially appearing as a peaceful school graduation story, the game forces players back to the title screen after conversations, with subsequent playthroughs revealing increasingly disturbing changes and psychological horror elements.
The game utilizes pixel art stills and facial expressions to convey emotions, complemented by sound design intended to create psychological pressure. The developer warns that the title contains horror, blood, and mentally distressing content. The main story is currently text-only, though voice acting may be added in future updates.
This commercial release expands upon the free browser version published on unityroom on August 27, 2026. New features include additional stills, extra scenes, achievements, a jukebox, and exclusive short stories written by scenario writer Peginn. The game is available on Steam for 550 yen, while the original browser version remains free to play.
