CD Projekt Red has released the Edgerunners 2 Update, version 2.5, for Cyberpunk 2077. The update launched on October 22nd for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with availability for the Nintendo Switch 2 and the Mac App Store version scheduled for the following days.
The update introduces significant gameplay changes, including a Dual Wielding playstyle for Power category Pistols and Revolvers via the new Double Trouble perk. Players can now customize hand cyberware at Glamdocs, explore the new Clampdown side quest, and discover 12 new Minor Arcana Tarot cards. Additionally, the update adds the HKGN 102.0 FM radio station and cross-platform mod support powered by mod.io.
Technical enhancements include support for DLSS 4.5, MetalFX Frame Interpolation on Mac, and performance optimizations for PlayStation 5 Pro and Ray Tracing. Console players gain a new Field of View slider. However, the update notes that achievements and trophies cannot be earned on consoles when using modded save files.
The patch also addresses various bugs, such as fixing a progression-blocking issue with the Delamain cab in the Things Done Changed quest and resolving an HDR adjustment error on PlayStation 5. Furthermore, it corrects a save failure issue specific to the Nintendo Switch 2 platform.
