Electronic Arts is reportedly reducing its workforce by 400 employees. While initial reports highlighted the closure of BioWare, subsequent information indicates that staff at Maxis, Full Circle, and Ripple Effect have also been affected by these restructuring efforts.

The layoffs have impacted long-term personnel across these studios. Senior creative director Anna Huerta and artist Dylan Palmer confirmed their departures from Maxis. Similarly, Full Circle saw the loss of several staff members, including John Epler, David Milne, Jason Payne, Jessia Coan, and Megan Lengle.

Ripple Effect, known for contributions to the Battlefield franchise, also experienced staff reductions. Character artist Corey Thomas, technical animator Juan Meza, and technical artist Turner Spring have corroborated their roles were eliminated during this period.

Despite these cuts, there is currently no indication that the affected studios or their ongoing game projects are being cancelled or shuttered. These personnel changes follow the company's transition to private ownership after a $55 billion acquisition involving the Public Investment Fund.
