Publisher Doble Punch Games officially announced Ore Express on October 22. Developed by Vj Tenacious, this physics-based sandbox simulation game tasks players with building automated mining factories to extract and ship ore. The title is scheduled for release on PC via Steam in the fourth quarter of this year.
Players must navigate complex terrain and hazards like magma to transport ore from deposits to shipping trucks. To achieve stage goals such as production quotas or specific equipment construction, users can utilize various tools including conveyor belts, elevators, cranes, and launchers. The game also features processing mechanics, allowing players to smelt ore into ingots or craft jewelry for higher profits.
Efficiency is central to the gameplay, with the title encouraging creative and sometimes forceful transport methods to meet objectives. As players ship goods, they earn money and experience points, the latter of which can be spent in a technology tree to unlock new equipment or upgrade existing machinery. The game will also include a sandbox mode and a map editor.
Ore Express will support Japanese language display. While the full version is slated for a Q4 release on Steam, a playable demo is currently available on itch.io. This demo supports web browsers and allows users to acquire the game at a pay-what-you-want price point.
