On October 20, 2026, AMD released the WHQL-certified driver AMD Software Adrenalin Edition 26.10.1. This update is designed for Radeon RX 5000 series GPUs and newer, as well as APUs featuring RDNA architecture or later.

The primary feature of this release is the expansion of the AI-powered FSR Upscaling 4.1 technology. Support has been extended to the Radeon RX 6000 series, which arrives earlier than the previously anticipated January 2027 timeframe. Additionally, the technology is now available on select Ryzen AI Max 400/300 series integrated GPUs, a development that was not previously confirmed by AMD.

For users with Radeon RX 6000 series or integrated graphics, FSR Upscaling 4.1 is expected to improve visual quality and resolution in games that were previously limited to 1280x720. The driver also adds support for new titles, including Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, Star Wars: Galactic Racer, and Final Fantasy Resonance.

AMD notes an increase in known issues with this version, such as potential system shutdowns or driver timeouts in specific titles like Valor Mortis or Death Stranding 2. Users are advised to check for temporary workarounds, such as disabling specific overlays or frame generation features, or rolling back to version 26.9.1 if experiencing persistent instability with War Thunder.
