Gravity has opened pre-downloads for its new MMORPG, RO Ragnarok: Pocket Tactics, across PC, App Store, and Google Play. The title is scheduled for an official launch on October 23, coinciding with the start of a limited-time collaboration event featuring the classic manga City Hunter.
The game features a Q-style hand-drawn art aesthetic and emphasizes a low-burden experience. Players can switch classes by changing weapons and benefit from up to 12 hours of offline progression. Combat mechanics include challenging classic MVP monsters to capture them as pets, while a free-market system allows for tax-free trading and resource sharing among friends.
The City Hunter collaboration runs from October 23 to November 21, divided into two phases. The first phase introduces an XYZ Hunter board game mode where players collect gacha coins in iconic locations like detective offices. A second phase will introduce exclusive City Hunter classes, including characters Ryo Saeba and Kaori Makimura, to the game world.
To support the launch, developers are providing various incentives, including a free mount for every class and a 100% success rate for equipment refinement up to +10. Players can also participate in the Adventurer Payday event to earn RO coins for virtual item exchanges and auctions, alongside community-focused events like guild competitions and developer talk shows.
