Key information
According to Sensor Tower data, eFootball secured the top spot in the Japanese mobile game revenue rankings for the week of October 8 to October 14, 2026. The title saw a marginal 1 percent revenue increase, bolstered by the October 8 release of the Epic: Spanish League Guardians gacha featuring players like Pepe and Marcelo.
Arknights experienced a significant 1018 percent revenue surge following the October 14 launch of its main theme chapter 17, titled Phase Shift, which introduced the new operator Kal'tsit Esperanta. Meanwhile, Nexon's Mabinogi Mobile, an online RPG optimized for mobile interfaces, debuted at 18th place after its October 7 service launch in Japan.
Market analysis for the third quarter of 2026 indicates a 3 percent increase in total domestic mobile game revenue compared to the second quarter. Among the top 25 publishers, Scopely achieved the highest growth at 95 percent, driven by a 171 percent revenue increase in Pokémon GO, which hosted global and mega finale events during the period.
CyberAgent also reported substantial growth, with revenue rising 90 percent quarter-over-quarter. This performance was largely attributed to the July 23 launch of hololive Dreams, a title co-developed by QualiArts and Cover, which became CyberAgent's highest-earning mobile game.
