Nvidia has officially integrated Microsoft's Advanced Shader Delivery technology into its latest version 621.01 graphics drivers. This update aims to mitigate the lengthy wait times typically associated with shader compilation processes that occur following game installations or driver updates.

The technology functions by downloading precompiled shaders, which significantly accelerates the initial launch sequence for supported titles. While AMD has utilized this feature previously, its inclusion in Nvidia's software suite expands availability to a broader segment of the PC gaming population.

Currently, Advanced Shader Delivery is compatible with Nvidia RTX and RTX Spark graphics cards, though it is limited to Gears of War: E-Day and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. The author reported that testing on a desktop PC and an Asus ROG Ally X allowed Gears of War: E-Day to launch in under a minute.

This feature complements Nvidia's Automatic Shader Compilation, which prevents re-compilation after driver updates. Although the system is designed to work across various hardware configurations including AMD, Intel, and Qualcomm devices, the author notes that performance results may vary between different systems.
