CD Projekt has announced the 2.5 update for Cyberpunk 2077, introducing a variety of new content and technical enhancements. This update includes tie-in material for the Netflix series Edgerunners 2, such as the new Clampdown side quest and a dedicated radio station featuring tracks from the show.
The update expands gameplay mechanics significantly, most notably with the Double Trouble perk in the Cool tree, which enables players to dual-wield Power category Pistols and Revolvers. Additionally, players can now customize the appearance of their hand cyberware, such as Mantis Blades and Gorilla Arms, by visiting new Glamdoc shops located throughout Night City.
Beyond combat, the update adds the Welcome to Paradise! side quest and an extension to the Fool on the Hill questline, which introduces 12 new Minor Arcana tarot cards. Technical improvements include support for DLSS 4.5, performance optimizations for PlayStation 5 Pro, and the long-awaited addition of a Field of View slider for console players.
Cross-platform mod support, powered by mod.io, is now available on PC, Mac, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, and Xbox Series X and S. This feature allows users to browse and install player-created mods directly from the in-game menu, marking a new step for the game's modding community.
