Developer Glass Cannon Unplugged has announced Diablo Unbound, an officially licensed board game set in the world of Sanctuary. Designed as a highly replayable dungeon battler, the title supports both cooperative and solo play. The project is scheduled to launch on the Gamefound crowdfunding platform during Q1 2027, featuring various stretch goals and exclusive rewards.
The gameplay structure consists of three acts, with each act containing three distinct dungeon levels. Players must explore these areas, defeat waves of enemies, and progress toward a final boss encounter. Throughout their journey, participants earn experience points and collect randomized loot from chests, elite enemies, and side quests to strengthen their characters.
Players can select from four classes: Barbarian, Rogue, Paladin, or Sorceress. These heroes battle against various foes, including Demons, Undead, and Khazra. Between combat encounters, a Town Phase allows users to manage equipment, respec builds, and improve skills. After finishing the third act, groups can access a Torment endgame mode to challenge bosses in their ultimate forms.
Each individual dungeon session is estimated to last between 60 and 90 minutes. Completing a full act requires up to 4.5 hours of gameplay. The experience aims to combine high-stakes boss battles with relentless monster hordes, providing a comprehensive tabletop adaptation of the Diablo franchise.
