Taiwanese breakfast chain Laya Burger has announced a collaboration with the game "Dynasty Warriors 2 with Xtreme Legends Remastered." Running from October 22 to January 4, 2027, the "Laya Warriors" campaign integrates iconic game elements into the local breakfast experience, featuring themed meals, collectible cards, and exclusive merchandise.
The menu includes four limited-time items: the "Lu Bu Unrivaled Spicy Burger," "Musou Chicken Burger," "Musou Meat Bun," and "Battle of Red Cliffs Platter." The meat buns feature ten randomized classic game quotes, while the spicy burger utilizes ghost peppers to evoke the intensity of the Lu Bu boss encounter.
Producer Tomohiko Sho and CEO Hsu Pei-yuan noted that the project required intense collaboration over four and a half months. Koei Tecmo designers were particularly meticulous regarding character aesthetics, even debating the novelty of having game characters hold branded food items. Hsu emphasized that pet accessories, such as Lu Bu-themed headgear and weapon-shaped cat teasers, were core concepts from the start, designed to maintain character integrity despite the playful format.
Beyond physical goods, the Laya NOW App offers a "True Dynasty Warrior" interactive test, allowing users to generate digital warrior cards. While Sho expressed interest in future remasters of the third and fourth titles, he noted that such plans depend on the current performance of the "Dynasty Warriors 2" remaster.
