FuRyu has officially launched a demo for the roguelike action title CRYMELIGHT on both the Switch 2 and PS5 platforms. This trial version includes the entirety of the game's first chapter, allowing players to experience the core gameplay loop.
The game features a unique mechanic where players grow stronger through acts of repentance. The demo showcases essential systems including combat, build customization via "Crime Cards," and the repentance-based enhancement process. A new "Feature Battle" trailer reveals that players can utilize spears and magic in addition to the primary anchor weapon.
The estimated playtime for the demo ranges from 1.5 to over 3 hours. Feedback from previous Steam and Tokyo Game Show 2026 testers indicated a 94.4% positive reception rate among 71 respondents. Developers are currently utilizing this data to refine difficulty, recovery mechanics, visibility, and control guides for the final product.
The Switch 2 and PS5 demo will remain available for a limited time leading up to the full game's release. Additionally, the official X account is hosting a giveaway campaign for original merchandise, such as hologram stickers, to commemorate the launch of the trial version.
