Key information
GeForce NOW Powered by CloudGG celebrated five years of operation in Australia this August 2026. Since its official launch on October 19, 2021, the service has grown to over 800,000 registered members and surpassed 1 billion minutes of total playtime.
The platform allows users to stream PC games they already own across various storefronts like Steam, Epic Games Store, and PC Game Pass. By leveraging NVIDIA’s cloud-based GPUs, the service enables high-end gaming on devices with limited rendering performance, including smart TVs, mobile devices, and handhelds like the Steam Deck.
Technological advancements have significantly improved the experience since the initial 1080p/60 FPS launch. Current Ultimate tier subscribers can access RTX 4080-powered hardware, supporting up to 4K resolution at 120 FPS. Features such as ray tracing, DLSS, NVIDIA Reflex, and G-SYNC integration aim to provide performance comparable to or exceeding traditional console hardware.
While over half of the service's members possess a dedicated gaming PC, 41% report that cloud streaming has become their primary method for gaming. This shift highlights how the service has lowered barriers to entry, allowing users to play popular titles like Fortnite and Overwatch without requiring expensive local hardware upgrades.
