AYN has officially unveiled the Odin 3 Portal, a new handheld gaming device featuring a larger screen compared to the original Odin 3 released last November. The company showcased the hardware through two videos released on the 19th and 20th.
The device is powered by the DragonWing Q8 processor, which is based on the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. It includes Hall Effect sticks, quiet ABXY buttons, and shoulder buttons with a non-slip diamond pattern. The unit also features a cooling fan with customizable noise modes and an anti-glare glass screen.
While the device weighs 450g and houses a 9,000mAh battery, specific performance metrics such as frame rates, RAM usage, and thermal data were not displayed in the demonstration videos. The hardware was shown running titles like Hollow Knight: Silksong, Tomb Raider, and Little Nightmares.
The Odin 3 Portal will be available in three color options: white, black, and a 16-bit style featuring a dark gray D-pad with two-tone purple buttons. AYN has not yet announced the final pricing, release date, or full technical specifications.
