Key information

Developer Machette Labs has officially launched the Taiwanese night market cooking game, LuLu's Night Market Stall, on the Apple App Store. The project was created by developer Anthony as a gift for his wife, who grew up in Taiwan and missed the flavors of local night markets after moving to the United States.

Players manage a stall where they prepare various traditional snacks, including beef noodle soup, braised pork rice, bubble tea, and wheel cakes. The gameplay involves specific cooking mechanics such as boiling noodles, shaking drinks, sealing cups, frying popcorn chicken with basil, and managing multiple wheel cakes on a grill to ensure they reach a golden finish.

The game features a scoring system based on cooking performance, which determines the amount of tips earned from customers. These tips allow players to upgrade kitchen equipment, purchase decorations, and customize LuLu's appearance. Additionally, players can unlock new dishes by leveling up and complete loyalty cards for regular customers. The title includes daily red envelopes and weekly rotating limited-edition items.

Designed for iPhone Duo, the interface functions like a dual-screen handheld console, separating the stall view from the kitchen area. The game supports both Traditional Chinese and English, which can be toggled within the settings menu.
