NCSoft has released the Drakan update for its PC MMORPG Aion, marking the first major content expansion following the Aion Remake introduced in May. This update, which went live on October 21, brings significant additions including new worlds, a new dragon race, dungeons, and various system improvements.
The update introduces the Drakan race, which features a unique combat mechanic allowing players to transform between a human form that utilizes dragon orbs for magical attacks and a dragon form capable of powerful area-of-effect damage.
Players can explore the new Lunadium instance dungeon, which rewards participants with treasure chests based on their progress even if they fail to clear the boss. Additionally, the Drakan and Deva worlds now feature the timed field 'Primeval Ishalgen,' offering high experience gains and new hero-grade armor.
Systemic changes include the removal of entry limits for certain dungeons, class balance adjustments in the Katara Arena, and the implementation of unlimited flight. Players can participate in growth events until November 30 to earn equipment like capes and accessories, while mission-based events run until November 18.
