CD Projekt Red has announced a new update for Cyberpunk 2077 to coincide with the Netflix release of the animated series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2. This follow-up series, produced in collaboration with Studio Trigger, explores new stories of vengeance and redemption within the Night City setting.
The upcoming patch, designated as update 2.5, introduces highly requested features including a dual-wielding playstyle. Players can also expect new cyberware customization options and additional content inspired by the animated series.
The update is scheduled for release on October 22 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. While these platforms are confirmed for the immediate launch, the developer noted that a release for the Nintendo Switch 2 will occur at a later time.
Further details regarding the update will be shared during a special broadcast scheduled for October 22. This presentation will be available via Twitch, YouTube, and Steam, with official patch notes expected to be published on the same day.
