Sony Interactive Entertainment Korea has announced the official launch of its PS5 cloud streaming service in South Korea, scheduled for October 28. This new feature allows users to play games directly from the cloud without needing to download them to their consoles.

The service is integrated into the PlayStation Plus Premium tier, which replaces the previous Deluxe plan. Existing Deluxe members have been automatically upgraded to Premium at no additional cost. Subscribers gain access to streaming for over 300 titles in the game catalog, including 'Horizon Forbidden West' and 'Final Fantasy 16', as well as supported digital games they already own.

On PS5 consoles, the service supports streaming at up to 4K resolution and 60Hz in SDR or HDR. PlayStation Portal users can also stream supported games directly from the cloud at up to 1080p and 60fps, even when the console is powered off or in use by others, provided there is a stable high-speed Wi-Fi connection.

The service is limited to digital versions of PS5 games. It does not support PS4 or PS3 titles, disc-based games, or PS VR2 content. Further details regarding the service are available on the official PlayStation Blog.
