XL Games has announced that its open-world action MMORPG, ArcheAge Chronicles, is participating in Steam Next Fest. A free demo version of the title is currently available for players to download directly from the Steam store page without requiring any prior application or test keys.
The demo remains accessible until 27 at 2 AM. During this period, players can explore the Shining Coast region of the Auroria continent. The trial features four distinct classes: Combat, Wild, Defense, and Magic, allowing users to engage in action-oriented combat that emphasizes dodging and parrying mechanics.
This release introduces new content, including PvP modes and the Hinon's Throne dungeon. General Producer Ham Yong-jin stated that the development team intends to collect and incorporate user feedback gathered throughout the demo period into the ongoing development process.
Looking ahead, the studio plans to launch the game via Early Access later this year using a Buy-to-Play model. The developers confirmed that they will not sell items that provide advantages in combat or character progression, while the Early Access version will expand to include life-skill features like housing and trade.
