Key information

Emerald City Games has officially announced a digital adaptation of the Red Rising board game, which is scheduled for release in 2027. This upcoming title is based on the tabletop game originally created by Jamey Stegmaier of Stonemaier Games, which itself drew inspiration from the first three books of Pierce Brown’s sci-fi series.

The digital version aims to faithfully recreate the original tabletop rules, allowing 1 to 6 players to manage houses of unique followers within the series' color-coded caste system. Players will utilize a deck of 112 unique cards, now enhanced with dynamic effects, animations, and custom voice lines to bring the characters to life.

Beyond the core mechanics, the digital adaptation introduces new features such as a challenging AI mode for solo play and support for multiplayer across platforms. Emerald City Games emphasizes that the project provides a faithful experience while adding modern convenience and visual flair to the established gameplay.

While the full game is not expected until 2027, interested fans can currently access a playable demo on Steam to preview the experience. No specific release date beyond the year 2027 has been provided by the developer at this time.
