Developer Rebel Wolves is set to release update 1.1 for The Blood of Dawnwalker next week. This major patch introduces a new Story difficulty setting designed to reduce combat difficulty, allowing players to focus primarily on the game's narrative through added combat assistance.

The update brings significant mechanical changes, including a new consumable item called Draught of Mind Rebirth. This allows players to reset and redistribute skill points across Swordmastery, Witchcraft, and Vampirism trees, potentially aiding with the game's 30-day mission time limit. Additionally, players can now interact with animals by petting cats and dogs using the game's directional control system.

Technical improvements are extensive, with reports from IGN and Insider Gaming noting over 1,100 fixes and adjustments. Rebel Wolves has refined FrameGen settings, camera movement, enemy marking, and traversal abilities like Shadowstep and Planeshift. Furthermore, Insider Gaming reports that the update adds comprehensive subtitle options and adjustable text sizing, while the Japanese version of the game will have its blood censorship removed.

The Blood of Dawnwalker is currently available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The 1.1 patch is scheduled for release next week, aiming to address various combat system nuances and overall accessibility.
