Electronic Arts has introduced Dead Space: Convergence, a limited-time Halloween crossover event for Battlefield 6 and the free-to-play Battlefield REDSEC. Commencing on October 20, 2026, the event presents a non-canonical scenario where Pax Armata forces discover a Marker hidden within an Area 51 facility.
The core of the event is Marker Incursion, a 16-player PvE mode where squads must destroy Marker Shrines and combat Marked Soldiers—former military personnel corrupted by the Marker's influence. Players are tasked with halting the catastrophic Convergence event while uncovering environmental storytelling elements and hidden transmissions.
Players can utilize the DS-23 Pulse Rifle, which debuts as a Battle Pickup in Marker Incursion, Battle Royale, and Rapid Royale modes. By completing challenges and eliminating enemies, participants earn Semiconductors, a limited-time currency used to unlock Dead Space-themed rewards, including the Aegis VII Soldier Skin, weapon skins, and various player card cosmetics.
Participation requires the base games and all relevant updates, with optional in-game purchases available. While EA has not specified an end date for the event, it continues a long-standing tradition of Dead Space references in the franchise, dating back to the Battlefield 3: Aftermath expansion.
