Origame Digital, the developer behind Umurangi Generation, has restricted the sale of its latest title, Penguin Colony, within Israel. Publisher Fellow Traveller confirmed the regional block in a Steam community discussion, noting that the decision was made at the developer's request.

The studio stated that the move is intended to demonstrate solidarity with Palestine amid the ongoing conflict. This political stance is explicitly referenced within the game, which includes a post-credits message criticizing the games industry's response to the situation in Palestine.

Penguin Colony is a Lovecraftian horror experience where players control penguins navigating an invasion by human factions. The game also features a land acknowledgement statement at the beginning, recognizing that it was created on Wurundjeri Woiwurrung land.

The title is currently available on PC, with console versions scheduled for 2027. This action follows similar industry developments, such as House House opting against an Xbox release for Big Walk due to Microsoft's reported ties to the Israeli military.
