Electronic Arts has officially introduced Dead Space: Convergence, a limited-time Halloween crossover event. Starting 20 October 2026, this collaboration integrates elements from the horror franchise into both Battlefield 6 and the free-to-play title Battlefield REDSEC.
The event features a non-canon narrative centered on Pax Armata forces discovering a Marker at Area 51. Players must contend with Marked Soldiers and destroy Marker Shrines to prevent a catastrophic event. Central to the gameplay is Marker Incursion, a 16-player PvE mode where squads navigate corrupted territory to halt the Marker's influence.
Combat mechanics include the introduction of the DS-23 Pulse Rifle, available as a Battle Pickup during Marker Incursion and within Battle Royale and Rapid Royale modes. Participants can collect a limited-time currency called Semiconductors by completing challenges or eliminating enemies. These can be exchanged for themed rewards, such as the Aegis VII Soldier Skin and various weapon cosmetics.
Accessing the content requires the base games and all relevant updates. While the event is a limited-time offer, EA has not specified an official end date. This crossover continues a long-standing tradition of Dead Space references in the series, dating back to the Advanced Suit helmet found in Battlefield 3.
