Standing Stone Games is ramping up promotional efforts for the upcoming Lord of the Rings Online expansion, The Wolves of Mordor. Barring any further delays, the content is scheduled to launch on October 28th, returning players to the werewolf-infested lands of Sauron.
The expansion introduces three new zones, including the lush rainforest region of Nan Ogel. Developers have also showcased various solo instances, providing players with a glimpse of the gameplay experiences awaiting them in the new territory.
During a recent livestream, the development team discussed the ongoing progress of the Bullroarer test server. They specifically highlighted adjustments currently being made to the new survival instincts system, which remains a focal point of their pre-launch refinement process.
Looking beyond the immediate release, the studio teased future plans for the title. These include upcoming legendary servers and preparations for 20th anniversary content, which is currently slated for 2027.
