CD Projekt RED has announced the 2.5 update for Cyberpunk 2077, titled Edgerunners 2. The patch is scheduled for release on October 22 for PC, Mac, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with versions for the Mac App Store and Switch 2 arriving shortly thereafter.
The update introduces the Double Trouble perk, enabling players to dual-wield pistols or revolvers. Customization options are expanded with new hairstyles, clothing, and the ability to modify the visual appearance of arm cyberware like Mantis Blades or Gorilla Arms at Glamdocs locations.
A significant addition is cross-platform mod support via mod.io, allowing console users to install community-created mods directly through the game menu. Additionally, the update includes the Clampdown side quest, a new radio station, 12 Tarot cards, and a mission narrated by Richard Night.
Technical enhancements include a field-of-view slider for consoles, improved Ray Tracing performance, and specific optimizations for the PlayStation 5 Pro. The game now supports DLSS 4.5 and updated AMD FSR options, while save files are now organized by individual campaign for easier navigation.
