Nvidia has officially addressed recent speculation regarding the status of its flagship RTX 5090 graphics card. Jeff Fisher, senior vice president of the GeForce business unit, explicitly denied reports that production of the card has been discontinued, confirming that the company intends to continue shipping the product.

Fisher acknowledged that the supply chain is currently facing capacity constraints. Despite these challenges, he stated that Nvidia is actively working to ensure the product reaches the market, noting that production of the GB202 silicon remains ongoing for consumer variants.

Despite these assurances, the RTX 5090 has vanished from Nvidia's official US marketplace. Third-party listings currently feature inflated prices, and the card has become functionally unobtainable for many consumers, leading to comparisons with rare sightings in the wild.

The broader GPU market appears increasingly barren throughout the latter half of 2026. With ongoing memory supply issues and the next generation of hardware still distant, the availability of high-end components like the RTX 5090 remains a significant concern for the industry.
