Milly Alcock has reportedly concluded her tenure as Supergirl within the DC cinematic universe. According to information from Cosmic Book News, the actress fulfilled her three-film contract with DC Studios, which encompassed appearances in the 2025 Superman film, her solo Supergirl project, and the upcoming Man of Tomorrow.
The production for Man of Tomorrow wrapped in August, leaving Alcock with no remaining contractual obligations to the studio. Any potential future involvement for the actress would necessitate the negotiation of an entirely new agreement.
While Alcock previously removed references to the character from her Instagram, DC Studios head James Gunn denied rumors of a firing. The situation is attributed to the natural expiration of her contract and changes in her professional representation.
Supergirl's role in Man of Tomorrow is limited to a brief cameo. David Corenswet, who portrays Superman, reportedly signed an identical three-film deal. Whether these actors continue in the DC Universe remains uncertain, as their future depends on the box office performance of Man of Tomorrow, which is scheduled for a July 2027 theatrical release.
