Mahalagang impormasyon
Although Alucard is absent as a playable character in Castlevania: Belmont's Curse, his presence is felt throughout the castle. The main hall features numerous portraits of Dracula's son, which serve a functional purpose for players navigating the environment.
A talking statue located in the Servant's Hall provides a cryptic clue regarding these artworks. The statue suggests that the paintings are intended to point the way, noting that the Master's son will guide the player through the castle.
Mechanically, the direction Alucard points his sword in each painting indicates the location of a secret passage. If the sword points downward, players should drop through the floor. When the sword faces upward or sideways, players must use the Arcane Whip to launch Rose toward blank paintings to reveal hidden paths.
These hidden areas are essential for progression and exploration. Discovering them allows players to access the Artist's studio, the Waterworks, various relics, powerful weapons, and complex sidequests throughout the game.
