Independent developer O.Z.D.K. has launched a free demo for their desktop idle game, Sirius the Stargazer : Furry Idle, on Steam. The title is scheduled to participate in the Steam Next Fest occurring in October 2026.
The game features a wolf companion named Sirius who battles monsters and collects loot while residing in the corner of the player's desktop. Users can manage the character's progress while performing other tasks on their computer, returning periodically to equip gear or explore new regions.
Combat mechanics involve gathering equipment with randomized attributes, including weapons, helmets, and armor sets. Players can experiment with different weapons to alter attack styles. If Sirius is defeated, players can adjust his equipment before sending him back into the fray. Additionally, players must manage the wolf's stamina by lighting campfires and cooking meat to ensure he rests.
The Steam Next Fest runs from October 20, 2026, at 1:00 AM until October 27, 2026, at 1:00 AM Taiwan time. The full version of Sirius the Stargazer is currently slated for a Steam release in the first quarter of 2027.
