On October 19, 2026, developer Moyashi Giken and publisher Waku Waku Games launched the Steam store page for the third-person shooter Alien Haruo-kun. The game is set in a world where cities have sunk beneath the ocean due to war and climate change, tasking players with scavenging abandoned facilities.
Players control two naval personnel, Kaede Kuratsuki and Kozue Kuroishi, as they search for a mysterious object known as Haruo-kun. Survival mechanics require managing their physical condition, including hunger, fatigue, and the need for bathroom breaks. Players must decide whether to stealthily navigate or engage in combat against defensive systems and experimental creatures using firearms.
The game features a unique cloning system where characters are reproduced upon death. However, this process causes genetic degradation, meaning that repeated deaths result in diminished character abilities. Additionally, some cutscenes in the game are fully voiced.
Alien Haruo-kun supports the Japanese language. As of the store page launch, the official release date and pricing for the title remain unannounced.
