Japanese independent developer R.N.Studio has launched a demo for their upcoming RPG, Clicker Tactics: Fragments of Memory, on Steam. The title, which emphasizes rapid clicking and extensive combo chains, is also participating in the current Steam Next Fest.
The core gameplay involves clicking on enemies to trigger crystal-based attacks. Players can accumulate power to unleash ultimate moves that strike all foes. Additionally, players can utilize quick skills that chain together with partner abilities, creating unique, player-specific combo names that can grow long enough to extend off-screen.
Strategic depth is provided through party positioning, which dictates how skills connect. As players progress, they can equip relics to enhance skills or increase combo opportunities. Furthermore, collecting memories allows players to unlock nodes in a memory tree to strengthen their companions for future runs.
The demo features the early game, including three dungeons: The Water Side of the Past, The Hazy Pyramid, and The Wandering Ghost Ship, along with their respective storylines. The game supports Japanese, English, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.
