Sega has announced the arrival of the new 5-star demon, Vishnu-Phryn, in the smartphone title Dx2 Shin Megami Tensei Liberation. This addition is accompanied by a special summoning event that began on October 19, 2026.
Players can obtain the demon through the Vishnu-Phryn Summoning event, which allows for the collection of Vishnu-Phryn Tomes to guarantee a summon. Additionally, a step-up summoning banner is available, featuring a half-price first step at 500 gems and a guaranteed 5-star demon at step 6.
Vishnu-Phryn possesses powerful defensive and offensive capabilities, including immunity to various status ailments and the ability to deploy a 30,000 HP barrier. Its unique skill, Genze Kaitai, deals curse-attribute physical damage, ignores death-prevention effects, and provides team-wide barrier support. The demon also features a survival mechanic that allows it to endure death three times with 3,000 HP.
Running concurrently until November 4, 2026, is the ranking event titled Relief Extended to Despair. Participants can engage with original story content and collect items to earn rewards such as Transcendence Stones. A login bonus campaign is also active during this period, offering various items to players.
