Key information
Japanese developer Edia has officially unveiled Sin of Astraea, a new romance adventure game centered on crime and suspense. The narrative follows a female detective who joins a secret investigative unit to uncover the truth behind her partner's mysterious disappearance.
The protagonist, an experienced city police officer, begins her journey after her partner vanishes. When the official investigation stalls, she joins the Galtenas Federal Police Bureau. She is subsequently assigned to the 11th Information Assistance Office, a department colloquially known as Eleven.
While the unit appears to handle trivial administrative tasks, it secretly manages high-stakes national cases that standard procedures cannot resolve. Players navigate complex relationships with diverse colleagues while investigating criminal organizations and uncovering the department's true nature.
The title blends mystery and suspense elements with traditional romance adventure mechanics, focusing on dialogue and narrative progression. Sin of Astraea is currently in development for the Nintendo Switch and is scheduled for release on March 25 of next year. Information regarding a potential domestic release remains unavailable.
