Game Freak has announced that the action RPG Beast of Reincarnation will soon conclude its cycle of frequent post-launch updates. Released on August 4 for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC, the title will cease receiving major patches just over two months after its debut.
The developer and publisher Fictions stated that the final update of this phase is scheduled for October 19. Since the game's launch, the team has released eight patches addressing performance, bug fixes, and difficulty options. Recent additions included camera adjustments, cinematic improvements, and a feature allowing players to skip specific adventure zones.
Vandal's review noted the game's ambitious nature, praising its attractive post-apocalyptic Japanese setting and the bond between protagonists Emma and Koo. However, the publication criticized the experience for repetitive structure, flawed controls, and design choices that prevented the title from reaching its full potential.
Despite ending this major update phase, Game Freak clarified that support is not entirely finished. The studio intends to continue monitoring player feedback and remains open to publishing future corrections to resolve remaining significant issues.
