The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) announced that the 6th Game Culture Festival will take place from November 19 to 22, 2026. Held at BEXCO’s second exhibition hall during G-STAR 2026, the event operates under the slogan 'PLAY K: Playing Korea,' aiming to integrate traditional Korean narratives and music into the gaming experience.
The festival features four thematic zones where visitors can complete missions to earn the 'K-Game Master' title. Highlights include Pearl Abyss’s 'Crimson Desert' in the 'K-FUTURE' zone, where players join the 'Grey Mane' camp, and Neowiz’s 'SANABI: The Day the Ghost Possessed' in the 'K-STORY' zone, which offers a cyberpunk-themed speedrun challenge.
Additional attractions include the 'K-HERITAGE' zone featuring Netmarble’s 'Monster Guild: Star Dive' and the 'K-GLOBAL' zone, which utilizes Overwatch’s Busan map. On November 19, the 'K-Sound Stage' will present Korean traditional interpretations of game soundtracks, such as 'PUBG' and 'Lies of P,' performed by the Busan National Gugak Center.
The festival also hosts a 'GCF Esports League' for Valorant, with a 5 million KRW prize pool. Online qualifiers begin November 14, followed by a final on November 21. Attendees with G-STAR 2026 tickets can access the festival at no extra cost, with further details available on the official event website.
