EA, Lucasfilm Games, and Bit Reactor have released Patch 1.2 for Star Wars Zero Company. This update follows the game reaching a milestone of 1 million copies sold across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The patch introduces new gameplay features and extensive bug fixes.
The central addition is the Campaign Modifiers feature, which allows players to customize difficulty settings when starting a new campaign. These options include configurable rules for injuries, permadeath, and progression rates. Players can also adjust health gains, advantage generation, and enemy critical hit chances. While these modifiers are available on any difficulty, developers recommend using default rules on Normal first.
Patch 1.2 also implements significant balance adjustments. Costs for upgrading the Den have been reduced across the board to encourage deeper engagement with the facility. Additionally, recruitment costs for Operators are now fixed at 100 Credits. Specific character abilities, such as the Astromech's Self-Repair and Cly’s Combat Jump, have been limited to prevent exploitative strategies.
The update addresses numerous technical issues, including fixes for Overwatch mechanics, cinematic glitches, and progression blockers. Developers noted that these changes aim to make Overwatch gameplay more consistent and reliable. The patch is available now for all platforms.
