Indie developer AstralShift has revealed details for the third stage of its deck-building roguelite Hell Maiden, currently in early access on PC. Inspired by Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy, the game follows a reimagined Dante who returns to hell after reaching heaven.

The upcoming stage, titled The Third Circle: Gluttony, will introduce seven new enemy types and traps that actively pursue the player. Developers are currently testing mid-boss attack patterns and balancing the stage boss, with a release scheduled for later this year.

Alongside this stage, the studio announced a new playable poet, Lucanus. Based on the historical Roman poet Marcus Annaeus Lucanus, this character is depicted as a figure haunted by regret and betrayal. Lucanus will feature unique spells capable of piercing through large groups of enemies.

Hell Maiden is available on Steam for 1500 yen including tax. The game currently includes two stages, with the third circle and the new poet expected to expand the experience upon their release.
