Key information

The 2014 PlayStation 4 racing title Driveclub is now playable on Windows via a fan-developed project titled DriveClub Recomp. Released on GitHub by OverkillLabs3, this initiative avoids traditional CPU emulation by executing the game's original x86-64 code directly on PC hardware while reimplementing system libraries and translating GPU commands to Vulkan.

The port introduces modern graphical enhancements, including support for resolutions ranging from 720p to 8K and compatibility with ultrawide monitors. Players can utilize an unlocked frame rate and replace the title's native anti-aliasing with NVIDIA DLAA or AMD FSR 3.1. RTX card owners can toggle between these two options during gameplay using the F10 key.

Performance remains variable, with the developer reporting approximately 60 FPS at 4K resolution on an RTX 5070 Ti and Ryzen 7 5800X3D configuration. Current limitations include shader compilation delays, overly bright reflections, and frame drops on slower processors. Additionally, online functionality is unavailable, and testing has primarily focused on NVIDIA hardware.

Users must provide their own version 1.28 game dump to utilize the software. This development follows recent progress with the ShadPS4 emulator and the emergence of a similar project called DCport, which also incorporates FSR 3.1 and FSR 4 support.
