Key information
Jagex has officially scheduled the mandatory migration of all legacy RuneScape accounts to the Jagex Accounts system. This transition is set to occur on November 17th, 2026, requiring all remaining legacy users to complete a one-time account upgrade.
To facilitate this backend transition, the studio is providing a total of 50 character slots for all accounts. Additionally, Jagex plans to release a dedicated MacOS Silicon launcher for the game before the conclusion of the current month.
The studio previously signaled this shift earlier in the year, noting that the full migration process would be finalized later in 2026. This update represents a significant change to the platform's infrastructure for all players.
