Developer Daniel Blanco released an update for the DLSS-NR project on September 3, 2026, expanding support for AMD Radeon GPUs. The 0.8.0 update integrates the full Nvidia DLSS 5 suite, including Super Resolution 4.5, Frame Generation, Ray Reconstruction, and the 310.9.16 Neural Rendering model.
The mod functions by inserting itself into the upscaler pipeline of DirectX 12 games that already support FSR, DLSS, or XeSS. Users manage the installation via the NeuralHub mod loader, which includes an in-game overlay for adjusting settings. The mod also incorporates FSR 4.1.1 to provide a consistent base for these operations.
Compatibility extends to RDNA 2, 3, and 4 architectures, specifically the RX 6000, 7000, and 9000 series. While the developer claims output quality approaches native Nvidia performance, he acknowledges that some effects may not function perfectly. Furthermore, the mod is incompatible with anti-cheat software.
Performance results remain inconsistent across different PC configurations. Some Reddit users report no performance degradation compared to native FSR, while others observe frame rate drops ranging from single digits up to 25%. Blanco continues to refine the project, aiming to eventually match the performance levels of an Nvidia 5070Ti.
