Digital Extremes has revealed that the fantasy multiplayer RPG Soulframe is transitioning toward an open testing phase. Previously, access to the game's pre-alpha, known as Preludes, was restricted to players who received specific invitations.
The developer announced the upcoming milestone, titled Open Preludes, via Discord. This initiative aims to allow all PC players to join the game without requiring an invitation, marking a significant shift in how the studio manages early access.
Further information regarding this transition will be shared during a developer livestream on Friday, October 30th, at 3:30 p.m. EDT. The team intends to clarify what this change signifies for the future development of the title.
During the same broadcast, the developers plan to provide the initial details for the Preludes 17: The Veillands update. While specific content remains undisclosed, the studio expects to increase the frequency of news updates as the testing doors open wider.
