On October 17, 2026, nationwide protests in France led to riots that impacted the Paris headquarters and esports center of Team Vitality, known as V.Hive. Official reports confirm that rioters smashed windows to gain illegal entry, resulting in the theft of computer equipment and multiple championship trophies.
Among the stolen items is the StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026 trophy, which the organization's Counter-Strike 2 team won in Barcelona just last September. Social media footage shows individuals removing PCs, peripherals, and merchandise from the venue, with some equipment reportedly being destroyed in street fires.
Team Vitality CEO Fabien Devide expressed deep sorrow, noting that the venue was built to provide affordable gaming access for youth. While he defended the fundamental right to protest, he condemned the looting and destruction. V.Hive manager Aerzia confirmed that no staff or visitors were injured, as the facility was closed during the incident.
The organization is currently assessing the total damage and has not yet released a complete list of missing items. Due to the destruction, the venue remains closed, and there is currently no confirmed date for when V.Hive will reopen to the public.
