Babs Games has unveiled Chair Chase, an upcoming multiplayer party game for PC. The title reimagines the traditional musical chairs concept by introducing living, evasive chairs that players must capture within a large house.
The gameplay supports two to eight participants who compete to secure chairs while navigating obstacles. Players must run, jump, and dodge to catch the chairs, which actively avoid being sat upon. Once a player successfully sits on a chair, they must complete a balance challenge to retain their position while opponents attempt to knock them off.
To gain an advantage, participants can use various items such as glue guns and jetpacks. The game also features mechanics for pushing rivals, performing parkour, and earning points to spend in a shop between rounds. The winner is determined after seven rounds based on the highest total score.
Chair Chase is scheduled for release on March 8, 2027, via Steam. The game will offer both private and public matchmaking options for players.
