Key information
A recent survey conducted by GameDiscoverCo indicates that 42.4% of Steam users engage solely in PC gaming. This data, reported on the 16th, was gathered by linking participant responses with actual Steam library information to verify platform activity.
The study defined platform usage based on whether individuals played games for over one hour within the last month. While 91.5% of all respondents played PC games, the remaining segments showed varied habits regarding mobile and console integration.
Among those who utilize multiple platforms, 22% combine PC and mobile gaming without console use, while 11.5% play on PC and consoles but exclude mobile. Additionally, 15.6% of PC users reported playing across all three platforms.
GameDiscoverCo cautioned that because participants were primarily active members of online communities and dedicated Steam fans, these findings should not be broadly applied to the entire Steam user base or general PC gamers.
