Publisher HARRISONWORLD announced that the rural life simulation game 'Revive! Hot Spring Town,' developed by 饼饼 Studio, will enter Steam Early Access on December 7. The title features full Japanese language support for both text and audio. A new demo version is currently available as part of the Steam Next Fest, which began on October 20.
Players follow the protagonist Anzu, who moves to a remote mountain hot spring town with her mother. The game emphasizes a slow-paced lifestyle, allowing players to explore expansive maps featuring both mountains and the sea. Activities include bug catching, fishing, farming, and cooking. The latest demo introduces a diving mechanic, enabling players to explore the seabed and participate in treasure hunting.
The game incorporates town management elements, where players can help construct facilities, operate stalls, and attract tourists. Starting on the third day, players can switch between controlling Anzu and the local town mayor. The character not currently controlled by the player will continue their own daily routine independently. The developer, a Chinese solo creator, cites influences such as 'Crayon Shin-chan' and 'After School Boy' in aiming to provide players with warm, nostalgic experiences.
The developer is actively seeking feedback from the current demo to improve the game ahead of its Early Access release. Interested players are encouraged to share their opinions to assist in the ongoing development process.
