Developer Hinan Games has unveiled a new PC horror adventure game titled Fear Diagnosis. Set within a facility called the Fear Application Technology Research Institute, players take on the role of test subjects navigating personalized experimental environments.
The game utilizes a diagnostic test available on the official website. By entering a code generated from this test into the game, players can experience custom stages tailored to their specific fears, ranging from heights and tight spaces to insects or public speaking.
The institute combines twenty distinct phobias to generate over two million unique level variations, including scenarios like floating offices or endless elevators. Players can exclude specific triggers, such as insect swarms, through the settings menu if they find them too intense.
Inspired by the developer's personal fascination with diverse psychological terrors, the project aims to capture various unsettling experiences beyond traditional ghosts. The title is scheduled for release on Steam on December 1.
