Grand Theft Auto VI is officially scheduled for release on November 19, 2026. Product pages on the Japanese PlayStation Store and Microsoft Store have confirmed that the title has received a CERO Z rating, restricting it to players aged 18 and older.
The game's classification was previously listed as pending, even following the October 15 launch trailer. The final CERO rating includes content descriptors for crime and violence, mirroring the classification structure of its predecessor, Grand Theft Auto V.
International ratings provide further context, with the ESRB assigning an M rating and PEGI an 18 rating due to gore, intense violence, and sexual content. Notably, Australian and New Zealand ratings explicitly mention the inclusion of sex scenes.
As of now, there has been no official announcement regarding potential content modifications for the Japanese version. While the previous entry, Grand Theft Auto V, featured specific edits to sexual and violent scenes for the domestic market, it remains unclear how the developer will handle these elements in the upcoming release.
